Prospect Hill Road
Prospect Hill Road development is a Social Housing project for Sanctuary Scotland, located on the corner of Prospect Hill Road & Grange Road. In early 2026 the project secured Planning Approval. This marks a significant milestone for the re-development of the former Queens Park School site, which is part of the wider masterplan development of the former Victoria Infirmary.
The development will provide 46 much needed energy efficient affordable flats for over 55s on a long vacant brownfield site. The site was formerly a school, which was demolished sometime before 2006 and since 2019 it has been an empty lot.
The approved plans include two five-storey blocks and a third feature corner building with four wings ranging from five to seven storeys. The development will deliver 46 one and two bedroom homes for social rent, alongside a private communal garden and publicly accessible greenspace addressing the corner of Battlefield junction.
The project aligns with Scotland’s National Planning Framework 4, which promotes sustainable development and prioritises locations well-served by public transport to reduce reliance on private vehicles.
