After a 10 month refurbishment programme, Glasgow’s Lord Provost Sadie Docherty officially unveiled the transformation of St John Court in Partickhill Road, Glasgow last week.

The sheltered housing complex is operated by Loretto Housing Association and includes 26 flats that have each been upgraded to meet the latest Scottish Housing Quality Standards (SHQS) and now provide the residents with a brighter, more modern and energy efficient property to enjoy.

Works undertaken include new kitchens, bathrooms, doors, insulation and redecoration as well as a complete upgrade of all common areas. In addition to this, the property has been kitted out with photovoltaic solar roof panels and a ground source heat pump system that will help to reduce running costs.
