The project brief combines the old Coltness Primary School and Lammermoor Primary School. CRGP provided Architectural services for the project as part of the Graham Construction team for North Lanarkshire Council. The new School offers state of the art teaching facilities whilst also providing the local area with a new community facility and a Nursery.
As part of the proposals new wall cladding, windows and roof coverings were installed to revamp the external appearance of the building, while internally all areas received a full refurbishment. Works were carried out across a number of phases allowing the school to remain fully operational throughout the 18-month programme.
The building was designed to meet the international ‘Well’ gold standard with the wellbeing of the occupants at the forefront of the design and build process.
