Fortrose Care Home
Parklands ventured to build a £4 million care home on ness road, close to the centre of Fortrose. It has been sensitively designed to reflect its rural setting in the heart of the conservation area. It will consist of three wings built in the style of the farm steading – the main anchor building, which will serve as the central hub of the building, and two smaller residential wings. The 40 en-suite bedrooms will be substantially larger than the national standards set by the care inspectorate.
Parklands Group has established that a new modern efficient care home facility is required to service the Black Isle due to the recent closure of Marine House in Rosemarkie and the continuing uncertainty of the nearby Abbeyfield House which has been up sale since 2015. It is also acknowledged by both Highland Council and NHS Highland that a new facility is required to service the Black Isle.
